We will be weeding and removing non-native plants to help spruce up this important patch of habitat along the Santa Ana River Trail. SUMMARY:Santa Ana River Trail Volunteer Cleanup!
DESCRIPTION:Join Rivers & Lands Conservancy staff on Saturday\, May 13th from 9am-11:30am as part of the nationwide Great American Cleanup to help remove litter from a stretch of the Santa Ana River Trail starting at Martha McLean -Anza Narrows Park. All ages are welcome to attend. Space is very limited\, save your spot today! All volunteers must RSVP to Rachael at rhamilton@riversandlastg.wpenginepowered.com. \nEvent t-shirt included AND complimentary lunch provided for participating volunteers at the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce from 11:30am-1pm! \nThe Santa Ana River Trail is a valuable outdoor space for the community and important habitat area for local wildlife. Many thanks to our project partners at Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful for supporting our Adopt-a-Trail efforts and to our volunteers for helping to create a safer\, cleaner\, and more welcoming open space resource for all.

SUMMARY:Oak Watering Volunteer Event
DESCRIPTION:Join Rivers & Lands Conservancy staff on Wednesday\, May 17th to help take care of our oak restoration sites at our Cienega Canyon Preserve. We will be hand watering the young oak seedlings to help give them their best chance of survival before the summer heat. All ages are welcome to attend. Volunteers will be carrying water and walking over approximately 1-3 miles of dirt trails. Portions of the trail can be uneven and can include some uphill and downhill terrain. \nSpace is limited. Interested volunteers must RSVP to Rachael at rhamilton@riversandlastg.wpenginepowered.com to reserve a spot. \nMany thanks to our project funders at Edison International for supporting our efforts to restore and steward oak woodland habitat at Cienega Canyon Preserve.
