SUMMARY:Delhi Sand Dune Habitat Restoration Volunteer Event
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, May 16th from 9am-12pm for restoration work at one of our unique Delhi sand dunes conservation sites located in the City of Colton. This important open space area was conserved to protect habitat for the federally endangered Delhi Sands flower-loving fly. To help the landscape recover from past off-roading activities\, participating volunteers will assist with installing wooden shims and watering planting sites to encourage the reestablishment of the dunes. \nParticipation in the event requires walking approximately 1-2 miles over sandy and moderately uneven terrain.
