SUMMARY:Riparian Restoration Volunteer Event at Cienega Canyon Preserve!
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, December 7th from 9am-12pm at our Cienega Canyon Preserve as we work to restore and enhance riparian habitat alongside Cienega Creek! Volunteers will help plant California native plants that support local species of concern such as the endangered least Bells Vireo\, the threatened California gnatcatcher\, and other important wildlife that call Cienega Canyon Preserve home. Participation in the event requires walking approximately 1 mile over uneven\, dirt terrain. All ages are welcome to attend. Interested volunteers must RSVP ahead of time to Angie at aleon@riversandlastg.wpenginepowered.com to reserve a spot and for more event details. Space is limited\, so save your spot today! \nThis work is funded thanks to grants from Inland Empire Resource Conservation District and Edison International. The plants used in this effort were generously donated from the Xerces Society as part of their habitat kit program. 🌾🐦🦋🐝
