SUMMARY:Santa Ana River Trail Cleanup Volunteer Event!
DESCRIPTION:Join Rivers & Lands Conservancy staff on Saturday\, May 11th from 9am-11:30am as part of the nationwide Great American Cleanup to help remove litter from a stretch of the Santa Ana River Trail starting at Martha McLean -Anza Narrows Park\, located in the City of Riverside. Volunteers will be picking up litter from an approximate 2- mile round trip stretch of trail. All ages are welcome to attend. Please note\, there is a bathroom onsite at Martha McLean-Anza Narrows Park; however\, we cannot guarantee that it will be open and/or cleaned during the event. \nAll volunteers must RSVP ahead of time to Angie at aleon@riversandlastg.wpenginepowered.com by April 25. Space is very limited\, so save your spot today! \nFree event t-shirt AND complimentary lunch provided for participating volunteers at the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce from 11:30am-1pm\, thanks to Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful! When RSVP’ing\, please let Angie know the quantity and sizes of shirts for your group. T-Shirt Sizes: Youth Sizes – Small and Medium / Adult Sizes – Small\, Medium\, Large\, XL\, 2XL\, and 3XL. \nThe Santa Ana River Trail is a valuable outdoor space for the community and important habitat area for local wildlife. SUMMARY:Oak Watering Volunteer Event!
DESCRIPTION:Join Rivers & Lands Conservancy staff on Friday\, May 31st to help take care of our oak restoration sites at our Cienega Canyon Preserve. We will be hand watering the young oak seedlings to help give them their best chance of survival before the summer heat. All ages are welcome to attend. Volunteers will be carrying water and walking over approximately 1-3 miles of dirt trails. Portions of the trail can be uneven and can include some uphill and downhill terrain. Please note\, there is no restroom on site. \nInterested volunteers must RSVP ahead of time to Angie at aleon@riversandlastg.wpenginepowered.com.
