Volunteer for Oaks! Oak Planting Event

January 13, 2018 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Rivers & Lands Conservancy as we plant oak seedlings in our scenic Cienega Canyon Preserve! Over the last decade, oaks in the Preserve have been impacted by drought, pests, and pathogens, which decreases the amount of food and shelter they can provide for the wildlife that depend on these oaks for their survival. In order to preserve this fragile ecosystem and restore this oak woodland area, we will be planting acorns and creating shelters for them using weed mats and protective screens to give them their best chance at survival.

This is a free event and all ages are welcome!
