Community Clean-Up @ Mt. Rubidoux Peak

Rivers & Lands Conservancy owns and stewards the historic Mount Rubidoux Peak, the Serra Cross and historic steps. Help us beautify one of Riverside’s most iconic landmarks at RLC’s first Mount Rubidoux Peak community clean-up event of the year!

On Saturday, March 24, volunteers will help RLC staff remove graffiti, pick up trash, and learn more about how to support RLC’s mission of preserving open space in Riverside and the Inland Empire.

WHEN: Saturday, March 24 from 9 am - 12 pm. (We will meet at the San Andreas Avenue Trailhead at 9 am, and then walk up to Mt. Rubidoux Peak as a group.) Click here for our event flyer: Mt. Rubidoux March 2018 Cleanup Flyer_05March2018

 

WHERE: San Andreas Avenue Trailhead: Park at Ryan Bonaminio Park and walk up San Andreas Avenue (San Andreas Avenue turns into Glenwood Dr.) about 0.2 miles to the trailhead. We will meet at the “Frank A. Miller Mt. Rubidoux Memorial Park” sign.

 

WHO: Open to everyone aged 7 and up.  Participants must be able to walk up to Mt. Rubidoux Peak (~ 2 miles roundtrip), walk over steep, uneven terrain, pick up trash, and cover graffiti with paint.

 

WHAT TO BRING: Please be sure to bring your own reusable water bottle! Snacks, work gloves, and garbage bags will be provided.

 

RSVP REQUIRED : Participants MUST email Kristan Culbert at kculbert@riversandlands.org to sign up and receive a waiver for the event. This event is limited to the first 45 participants that sign up— sign up today!
