Last Friday we had to cancel a volunteer restoration planting event due to the Canyon Crest Fire in the Jurupa Hills. We’re on a tight schedule this month and are looking for volunteers to fill our last-minute “emergency” workday this Friday, December 6th from 9am-12pm at one of our conservation sites located in Fontana! We will be working with volunteers to expand our habitat restoration project by planting California native plants that support the endangered Delhi Sands Flower-loving Fly and other wildlife that call the rare Delhi Sand Dunes home. Participation in the event requires walking approximately 1 mile over uneven, dirt terrain. Interested volunteers must RSVP ahead of time to Angie at aleon@riversandlands.org to reserve a spot and for more event details. 😎
