With extremely high temps forecasted for this week, we are rescheduling our habitat restoration volunteer event originally planned for this Friday, March 20th to a new date of Friday, March 27th. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can still join us for a morning of donuts and dune restoration on March 27th! 🍩🌾
Participating volunteers will be assisting with removing a variety of non-native, invasive weeds (either hand pulling or using tools, such as hula hoes and shovels) to help support our ongoing efforts to restore Delhi sand dune habitat. Participation in the event requires walking approximately 1-2 miles over sandy and moderately uneven terrain. Ages 10 and up recommended based on the nature of the activities. All necessary supplies will be provided.
Volunteers must RSVP ahead of time through our signup platform by clicking here. Questions? Reach out to Angie at aleon@riversandlands.org. Space is limited, so save your spot today!
Thank you for helping to restore this valuable habitat for all the native plants and animals that call the rare dune environment home! 🪰🌾
