Greatest American Cleanup Volunteer Event

May 10 at 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Join Rivers & Lands Conservancy staff on Saturday, May 10th from 9am-11:30am as part of the nationwide “Greatest American Cleanup.” Volunteers will help remove litter from an approximate 1-mile stretch of the Santa Ana River Trail starting at Martha McLean -Anza Narrows Park, located in the City of Riverside. Volunteers will also assist staff with garden maintenance activities, such as weeding and pruning, at our California native plant garden at the Martha McLean-Anza Narrows Park trailhead. All ages are welcome to attend. Please note, there is a bathroom onsite at the park; however, we cannot guarantee that it will be open and/or clean during the event.

All volunteers must RSVP ahead of time to Angie at aleon@riversandlands.org by April 24. Space is very limited, so save your spot today!

FREE event t-shirt AND complimentary lunch provided for participating volunteers at the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce from 11:30am-1pm, thanks to Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful! When RSVP’ing, please let Angie know the quantity and sizes of shirts for you (and your group, if applicable).

The Santa Ana River Trail and our California native plant garden provide valuable outdoor spaces for the community and important habitat areas for local wildlife. Many thanks to our project partners at Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful and to our volunteers for supporting our efforts to create safer, cleaner, and more welcoming open spaces for people and wildlife. 😎
