Join us for a morning of nature and discovery at our “Birding and Blooms” community event at the Gilman Historic Ranch and Wagon Museum! Hosted in collaboration with the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District, this family-friendly event offers a variety of ways to connect with the outdoors.
Featured activities include a guided bird walk led by our Co-Executive Director and falconer, Rebecca O’Connor. On the walk, Rebecca will help you learn how to spot and identify local bird species in their natural habitat. The bird walk will start at approximately 10:15 am and will take place on a dirt trail that includes some uphill, downhill, and uneven terrain. In addition to birding, participants can take part in a hands-on native seed activity (resulting in seeds you can take home to grow in your own garden!) and a variety of other nature-based activities designed for all ages.
Whether you’re a seasoned birder or a plant expert or just looking for a fun way to spend your morning, our “Birding and Blooms” event provides a great opportunity to explore, learn, and enjoy the beauty of our local environment. 🐦⬛🌼
