Volunteer to help restore rare Delhi sand dune habitat with us on Saturday, April 12th from 9am-12pm at our unique conservation site located in the City of Colton! Participating volunteers will be assisting with a variety of restoration and stewardship tasks, such as installing wooden shims to help improve sand collection and dune stabilization. Your helping hands will support habitat restoration for the endangered Delhi sands flower-loving fly and other wildlife that call the Delhi sand dunes home. Volunteers will be walking approximately 1-2 miles over uneven, dirt terrain for the duration of the event. Please note, there are no restrooms available at this site. All ages welcome.
Interested volunteers must RSVP ahead of time to Angie at aleon@riversandlands.org to reserve a spot and for more event details. Space is limited, so save your spot today!
This event is made possible by generous grant support from Edison International and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. 😎🌾
